LA VISION DE LA REINE

En Scène ! With young musicians from Val d’Oise

SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH 2025 - 15:00

Karen Vourc’h, soprano
Soloists and choir,
music school pupils from Val d’Oise
Sujata Chapelain, harp

Built around Augusta Holmès’s lyric poem, La Vision de la Reine, this program highlights poetic and dreamlike works that trace a journey between dreams, nature and mystery… sung by students from the music schools of the Val d’Oise. More than a hundred young singers will join us for this extraordinary concert!

Between mystical visions, nocturnal enchantments and maritime tales, these works reveal the diversity of vocal music in the 19th and early 20th centuries. From a queen’s dream to a sacred prayer, from an enchanted forest to a windswept schooner, these melodies open windows onto the works of well-known female composers – such as Augusta Holmès and Mel Bonis – as well as totally unknown ones like Isabelle Delâge-Prat and Fred de Faye-Jozin.

In partnership with the music schools of western Val d’Oise and the Département du Val d’Oise.
