JENNIFER FICHET
An enthusiastic explorer of a wide range of repertoires, Jennifer Fichet strives to serve music with depth and integrity. Her most recent recordings are devoted to Brahms’s chamber music for clarinet (Soond) and Amy Beach’s piano music on Hortus (“Amy Beach, une prodige empêchée” – Choc Classica 2024). She won first prizes at the CRR in Lille before continuing her studies at the CNSMDP in piano (with Gérard Frémy and later Nicholas Angelich), chamber music (Daria Hovora and Théodore Paraskivesco), accompaniment (Jean Koerner) and analysis (Michaël Levinas). Christophe Simonet, Reiko Hozu and Rena Shereshevskaya have also played a key role in her career. A prize-winner at national competitions as well as the International Chopin Competitions in Brest and Mérignac, she was selected in 2005 by Kun Woo Paik to close the Dinard Young Talents Festival. She has performed regularly ever since, both in France and abroad. She has performed with partners such as Xavier Gagnepain, Andras Adorjan, Ophélie Gaillard, Jérôme Comte and Marianne Croux… Accompanied by a choir or orchestra, she has performed under the baton of conductors such as Lionel Sow, Mikko Franck, Mark Foster, Philippe Caillard and Ricardo Muti, and she regularly collaborates with composers (premiering works with 2E2M, the OFF and at various festivals, etc.). Following a career as an accompanist (at the ENM in Paris, the Long-Thibaud Competition, etc.), she taught accompaniment for six years on the undergraduate course at the CNSM in Paris and is now a tenured PEA at the CRD in Issy-les-Moulineaux, where she teaches piano.
